Как на счет Пин-Парвати трека летом 2012? Я точно пойду.
Pin Parvati Trek : scenic adventure into the mystical Tibetan Plateau
Duration : 18 day-tour (11 day-trek)
Best time : June till September
This is a demanding but adventurous trek, starting off through thick pine forest, green meadows, fields of wild flowers and narrow valleys. We follow the raging Parvati River until we reach Kirganga, a Hindu holy place with a hot water spring, a small temple dedicated to the Lords Shiva and Parvati and a bathing tank. We'll dip in before starting towards the Pin Parvati Pass.
After a few days walking through these lush, green surroundings against a backdrop of snow-peaks, glaciers and waterfalls, we will reach Mantalai high altitude lake, yet another place of pilgrimage for Shiva worshippers.
We then prepare for our biggest challenge along the journey: crossing the Pin Parvati Pass (5320 meters). We'll rope up while walking over the Parvati glaciers and will then enter the startling landscape of the Pin valley.
Across the Pass, it will take us another 3 day-walk down to the first village along the Pin River. Look forward to an exciting welcome by the villagers, as visitors are rare!
The dramatic change in scenery and culture from the lush green belt of the Hindu dominated Kullu Valley into the dry, arid Buddhist land of Spiti is mind-blowing.
It is a diverse and spectacular 11 day-trek, followed by a jeep journey into the high desert of the Tibetan Plateau. We'll explore this mystical Spiti Valley by jeep and must take a halt at the magnificent 1000-year old Tabo Monastery, as well as the extremely interesting Dhankar and Ki Monasteries.
Our Pin Parvati Pass trek is a fine encounter with nature, adventure and Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist cultures.
