Шри-Ланка › Гора Лаггала (Лакегала) - башня Раваны. Был ли кто?

Индостане, знающие центральные районы Ланки, скажите, а никто не пытался залезть на Лакегалу/Лаггалу/"Прицельную Скалу" - Башню Раваны - 1310 метровую гору недалеко от Канди?

Вкратце предыстория:

Собственно, Рамаяна, знаменитое повествование о Раме, Сите и Раване. Вкратце содержание (в версии, спёртой с сайта, посвящённого казакам в Индии, поэтому за точность не ручаюсь, а самому излагать лениво и долго ж-))):

"...У индийского царя Авадха [то бишь Айодхьи] по имени Дашаратха, было много жен, но он был бездетен. Наконец, в старости, у него от разных жен рождаются четыре сына. Старший сын РАМА, по имени которого и называется Рамаяна, превосходит своими добродетелями всех других. Царь Дашаратха назначает его своим наследником и собирается передать ему царство. Однако при дворе начались интриги. Из-за них Рама вынужден уйти в изгнание в дикие леса, где проводит четырнадцать лет. Вместе с ним уходят его жена Сита и брат Лакшман. Могучий царь демонов (ракшасов) по имени Раван похищает Ситу в лесу. В поисках Ситы Рама блуждает по лесам и оказывается в стране обезьян. Он заключает союз с царем обезьян Сугривом и выступает в поход на город Ланку - столицу "плохого" Равана. Рама побеждает Равана, убивает его, возвращает Ситу и вместе с ней и Лакшманом возвращается в Авадх, где наконец становится царем..."

It is also said that Ravana met Princess Sita, the Queen of Rama beside this rock. But the most of Meemure Villages believe that Lakegala is the place where King Ravana lifted his air plane called "Dhadumonara"; an ancient glider; an Air Chariot. The triangular shape of the Rock is ideal for such an operation. This Dhadu Monara was his official Plane and he makes use of travels and used to capture Sita from India..."

Laggala served as a sentry point to the King Ravana's army and it was from this rock the first Glimpse of Lord Rama's army was sighted and informed to King Ravana. This hill is geographically the highest part of the northern region of King Ravana's city and on a clear day the north east side that is Thiru Koneshwaran and north west side that is Talai mannar could be seen even today. King Ravana is believed to have done meditation on this rock and prayed Lord shiva at Thiru Koneshwaran from this point.

It is here that King Ravana was killed by Lord Rama's Brahmaastharam. The top of Laggala is flat and is believed to have been hit by the Brahmaastharam...."

Всё хотел в прошлый раз добраться до Канди и залезть на эту Башню Раваны, где он медитировал и молился Шиве, где была взлётно-посадочная полоса его воздушной колесницы, и где он был убит во время битвы с Рамой. Но, увы, не получилось - побережье и обстоятельства не отпустили в Горы, надо попробовать ещё раз ж-)))

Пишут, что пользовались верёвками, и что на "классическом", более пологом пути, наклон от 70 до 80 градусов. Вот тут другие чуваки нарисовали примерную схему восхождения.

Кто-нибудь что-нибудь слышал о подобном, или вдруг сам предпринимал? Было бы очень интересно узнать.

Меня в особенности связь с Раваной привлекает Ж-)))


В инете ланкийцы пишут что лазили, причём даже регулярно. Раз они смогли - есть, ИМХО, надежда что и мы сможем :-) Особенно если там железные скобы правда остались ещё от предыдущих лазунов.

мне всегда казалось, что сигирия подходит под дворец раваны. из-за львиных лап.

и у него вроде как была вимана. а вимане не требуется "взлетно-посадочная полоса"

Была версия и про колесницу, даже в Индо-Японском мультике "Рамаяна" Равана на ней летал вот в этом:

Кто их знает - столько времени прошло. ИМХО они ОБА могли быть дворцами, почему бы и нет?))) Да и посетить их оба весьма интересно было бы)

According to the Ramayana, the "Pushpaka Vimana" landed at Werangatota, about 10 km from Mahiyangana. It is the hill station of Nuwara Eliya in central Sri Lanka..."

Получается, что и машина была, и Вимана, или они были одно и то же, или одно из двух ж-)))

А ещё получается, что третья точка появилась кроме Сигирии и Лаггалы - Верангатота %-)))

А я вот как-то в инете видела фото дворца - на Сигирию совсем не похоже... Мне вот тоже интересно, где этот дворец

На Лаггале, кстати, дворца не было - там была смотровая точка, место медитаций и проведения обрядов, и "взлётка" для Виманы/Пушпаки/Дандумонары.

Про Виману ещё вот тут интересное пишут:

"...The ancient Indian epic describes a Vimana as a double-deck, circular aircraft with portholes and a dome, much as we would imagine a flying saucer.

It flew with the "speed of the wind" and gave forth a "melodious sound." There were at least four different types of Vimanas; some saucer shaped, others like long cylinders ("cigar shaped airships"). The ancient Indian texts on Vimanas are so numerous, it would take volumes to relate what they had to say. The ancient Indians, who manufactured these ships themselves, wrote entire flight manuals on the control of the various types of Vimanas, many of which are still in existence, and some have even been translated into English.

The Samara Sutradhara is a scientific treatise dealing with every possible angle of air travel in a Vimana. There are 230 stanzas dealing with the construction, take-off, cruising for thousand of miles, normal and forced landings, and even possible collisions with birds. In 1875, the Vaimanika Sastra, a fourth century B.C. text written by Bharadvajy the Wise, using even older texts as his source, was rediscovered in a temple in India. It dealt with the operation of Vimanas and included information on the steering, precautions for long flights, protection of the airships from storms and lightening and how to switch the drive to "solar energy" from a free energy source which sounds like "anti-gravity."

The Vaimanika Sastra (or Vymaanika-Shaastra) has eight chapters with diagrams, describing three types of aircraft, including apparatuses that could neither catch on fire nor break. It also mentions 31 essential parts of these vehicles and 16 materials from which they are constructed, which absorb light and heat; for which reason they were considered suitable for the construction of Vimanas. This document has been translated into English and is available by writing the publisher: VYMAANIDASHAASTRA AERONAUTICS by Maharishi Bharadwaaja, translated into English and edited, printed and published by Mr. G. R. Josyer, Mysore, India, 1979 (sorry, no street address). Mr. Josyer is the director of the International Academy of Sanskrit Investigation located in Mysore..."
